Neighborhood for Learning (NfL) @ EARThS offers both morning and afternoon preschool classes in Room K3 at the EARThS Magnet School campus in Newbury Park.   The NfL @ EARThS preschool classes are funded by First 5.

A CV NfL Family Resource center is located in the classroom.  Our Family Services Coordinator is available for information regarding the program and community services and referrals.

Philosophy
At our NfL @ EARThS preschool, we provide a developmentally appropriate, anti-biased, structured environment rich with opportunities for preschoolers ages 3-5 years to explore creativity, problem-solving, science, math skills and language acquisition through play, group activities and group choice.  Daily teacher directed times are planned for a wide age and ability range - such as storytelling, music, experiments, and group games.  To read more about NfL's educational Philosophy, please review the Philosophy page of this website.

Our Goal
The most important goal at NfL is to provide the kind of environment and varied experiences that will allow each child to:
- build strong relationship skills,
- develop and practice problem solving and conflict
   resolution,
- develop an interest and joy in learning,
- develop security and good self-image,
- develop self-control and responsibility,
- enhance physical development,
- enjoy strong parent involvement and education,
- transition successfully to the school environment.

School Hours
