The staff and administration at Conejo Valley Neighborhood for Learning (CV NfL) know that young children thrive in safe, nurturing, predictable and respectful environments that promote trust. These elements are foundational and at the core of our programs philosophy; a philosophy that fosters a child-centered curriculum and is reflected throughout our educational program which allows children to succeed in school and in life.
Perinatal
We offer perinatal services such as Childbirth
preparation, Breastfeeding and baby care
classes and infant massage classes.
Infant
We offer Infant classes such as infant massage
classes and New Parent Support groups.
At our new Neighborhood City Center for
Young Children we offer full day infant childcare.
Toddler
At the Neighborhood City Center for Young Children we offer full day toddler childcare for children 24 months to 36 months of age. Additionally, through out the year, we also offer 'Watch and Wonder' classes specifically designed for toddlers and their caregivers.
Preschool Classes
We provide developmentally appropriate social,
emotional and intellectual experiences in our preschool
classes. The multi-age opportunity, along with parent
participation, promotes empathy, modeling and
leadership development for children ages 3 years
to enrollment in Kindergarten. We offer care and
curriculum that is age appropriate for each child's
cultural, linguistic and developmental needs in a rich
setting that allows for exploration, creativity,
problem-solving, science, math skills, and language
acquisition through play, group activities and individual choice.
We offer morning, afternoon and full day preschool opportunities throughout the Thousand Oaks community. To learn more about each program, please click on the location:
Family Services
We also offer family services such as literacy workshops, vision, hearing and dental screenings, nutrition education, home visits and support groups at our five Family Service Centers. We also provide the community with car seat checks in conjunction with the Fire Department and Safe Kids.
